Contributing Artists
Marie-Danielle Leblanc

Marie-Danielle Leblanc's works evolve around materials - their contrast and their texture. Using raw pigments, tar, varnishes and resins as her primary source of inspiration
- the artist exploits the beauty and emotion of these physical materials. She layers colours and textures that allow her to create landscapes that are seemingly captured in space. Marie-Danielle continues to explore these techniques that transform, otherwise simple landscapes into sacred sites. Her works in tones of ochres, browns, reds, greens and blues were initially inspired by scenes of her childhood
- scenes of driving alongside her father in her native countryside of Quebec. Today, she continues to draw the same connection with landscape through her world-wide travels. Her works are a connection with who she is, and in every painting, we find one of her memories her most recent body of work is an abstract imprint of her memories.
From the most remote villages of Japan, to scenes of her own backyard
- she manages to capture and interpret the richness, contrast and colour of everything that she sees. With an incredible ability to make us recall our deepest memories, she transports us back to a moment in our lives when we identified with nature and all
it's incredible beauty. Marie-Danielle Leblanc was born in Trois-Rivières (Quebec). She currently lives and works in Montreal (Quebec), and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA) from the "Universié du Québec à Montréal".
Margaret Devenyi

Margaret Devenyi's paintings reflect an intense and immediate response to the landscape. She developed a unique style with nature as a central theme, recreating the intensity of the original experience. Her images are painted with loose and vigorous brushstrokes, and characterized by boldness of colour and dynamism of composition. Her work is found in private, public and corporate collections in Canada, United States, France and Hungary.
Riyadh Hashim

Riyadh Hashim believes that his works are like relationships that grow and develop in new directions with the passing of each day. Hashim will often paint more than one piece at a time, allowing resonance and change to take place within each work. He uses simple lines to trace shapes and portions of the human body among washes of colour in various forms, sizes and colours. His works can be found in Canadian, American and International private collections.
James Leonard

James Leonard grew up in Nashville where he excelled in athletic endeavours. After serving in Vietnam he studied social work in California and upon graduating started working with the developmentally disabled, often using museum visits as part of the therapy. James became a full time professional artist in the early 90's where he discovered a passion for communicating visually. He creates his lush and vibrant abstracts and figuratives in his studio in the San Francisco Bay area. It is his hope that the viewer can enter into a dialogue with his paintings. James' work is exhibited and collected throughout the U.S. including The Boston Stock Exchange, Motorola Corp.-Dallas, Inn at The Opera Plaza Hotel-San Francisco.
